HOW TO REACH US

If you arrive by car ...

Verbania can be reached from the A26 motorway, as well as from the SS33 (Sempione state road) and from the SS34. If you are coming from the south the advice is to take the motorway and follow the signs for Gravellona Toce, the exit is “Baveno-Stresa“, then follow the signs for Verbania (the first town you come across is Feriolo).

If you are coming from the North (Sempione pass, Domodossola Strada Statale 33) follow the signs for Milan, the recommended exit is “Gravellona Toce” towards Verbania-Pallanza.

From Bellinzona-Locarno along the SS34 (State Road of Lake Maggiore) you reach directly Verbania.

Coming from Milan by car, take the A8 motorway towards Varese-Laghi. Follow the signs for Varese up to the point where the motorway splits into two: going to the right, continue towards Varese while keeping to the left, continue to Gravellona Toce.

Follow the signs for Gravellona Toce and you will automatically enter the A26. Here continue straight until you reach the Baveno / Stresa exit. Exit the highway and follow the signs for Verbania along the lake.

At the entrance of Verbania, continue for about 3 km along the State Road 34 which runs along Lake Maggiore.

You will find us in Corso Goffredo Mameli, 65.

If you arrive by train ...

The Verbania station is located on the Simplon line that connects Milan to Geneva, Basel and Zurich. Fast trains coming from many German, French, Belgian and Dutch cities reach Milan via the Sempione line and usually stop at Verbania-Pallanza or Stresa stations. From the Milan Central and Milan Porta Garibaldi stations there are several trains that stop daily in Verbania or Stresa.

From Milan Malpensa airport there is no direct train to Verbania: it is necessary to reach by train (or bus) Milan (40 minutes) or Gallarate (15 minutes). From there you can then search for a train to Verbania or Stresa.

If you arrive at the Stresa railway station you can reach the Institute’s headquarters either by bus or by boat with the Navigazione Lago Maggiore.

If you arrive at the railway station of Verbania-Pallanza, the VCO TRASPORTI buses (Omegna-Verbania line towards Verbania) run every 30 minutes.

At the entrance of Verbania, continue for about 3 km along the State Road 34 which runs along Lake Maggiore.

You will find us in Corso Goffredo Mameli, 65.
